RESTORE YOUR BALANCE IN UNTAMED NATURE

Monday to Saturday 8am - 5pm | Sunday & Bank Holidays 9am - 4pm | Dawn until dusk in Winter

Our story is 165 years in the making and the next chapter we want to share with you.

Since our ancestor, progressive farmer, Cole Ambrose moved to Stuntney Old Hall Farm in 1857 we have been custodians of the landscape. Our goal today is to protect and nurture diversity, and welcome all generations to experience its beauty.

Disconnect from the bustle of everyday life and reconnect with wildlife with a ramble through our marked trails. Traverse through fenland and woodland, meander across wildflower meadows and winter bird food pastures, and skirt the crystal waters of our reservoir. Our 250-acre reserve is teeming with plants and bird life. Look for sedge warblers and spotted crakes, or spot the glint of a kingfisher hunting on the reservoir.

Far-reaching views capture the scale of the 2,500-acre Stuntney Estate, a former island in the floodplains of the Fens. On the horizon, you’ll see the magnificent Ely Cathedral – known as the ‘ship of the Fens’ – towering over the floodplains on another former island, leaving the impression that it’s floating.

Large pond, surrounded by rushes, a wooden fence and luscious green grass

We have a two-and-a-half-kilometre loop on an easier hardcore path for all to enjoy, designed with bikes and buggies in mind. Whether you run or roam, sprint or saunter, we welcome everyone to experience the beauty and diversity of the Fens.

A summer trail over grass tracks will be opened in the drier months, to extend the experience for those that like to go further afield.
