STUNTNEY ESTATE

Stuntney Estate is a family-run farming business dedicated to fostering community and connection. Nestled in the heart of the Cambridgeshire countryside, the 2000 acre Stuntney Estate, run by seasoned farmers with deep roots in the region, embarked on this ambitious project with a singular goal: to breathe new life into their beloved farm, hometown of Ely and surrounding Cambridgeshire.

In a remarkable tale of entrepreneurial spirit and community revival, husband and wife team Victoria and Alastair Morbey have transformed their family’s historic Stuntney Estate, building Ben’s Yard, a beautifully designed independent shopping village. This ambitious project not only defies the decline of the high street but also brings back employment and revitalises the community in Ely, Cambridgeshire.

The Morbeys, known for their innovative approach to farming, saw an opportunity to repurpose their estate, which once employed 100 people before the mechanisation of agriculture. Determined to restore its legacy, they envisaged a space that would celebrate local brilliance and foster a sense of community. Their vision has materialised into Ben’s Yard, a charming destination that combines boutique shopping, wellness, and culinary delights.
